Today I read Proverbs 13-14
We continue with Proverbs explaining wisdom.
Vs 1. A wise son bears his fathers instruction
Vs 2. From the fruit of his mouth, a man eats what is good
Vs 3. Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life
Vs. 4 The soul of the diligent is richly supplied.
Vs. 5. The righteous hates falsehood
Vs 6. The righteousness guards him whose way is blameless
Proverbs 13 continues with more nugget size bits of wisdom.
I’m trying to make sense of a pattern but not finding one.
It’s almost as if Solomon wants the reader to remember pieces of wisdom at a time. To meditate on these words and to use them as any situation arises.
I read through both chapters but I’m having a hard time concluding a direction Solomon was going with this. Maybe I’m reading this all wrong. Either way, I’m encouraged to study the book of proverbs in full depth to truly understand wisdom.
